Pokemon GO: Can Dewpider and Araquanid Be Shiny?
As you explore further and further into the world, you’ll be able to collect so many different kinds of Pokemon in Pokemon GO. However, even five years after its initial launch, there are some Pokemon that have not made their way into the game just yet.
Two of these Pokemon, Dewpider, and Araquanid are finally making their debut in the game tomorrow, alongside the Water Festival 2022 Event. However, if you’re going to be Shiny Hunting for these Pokemon, you may want to know if you’ll be wasting your time trying to get your hands on a shiny version of these Pokemon, or if they will be available at the start as a shiny. Let’s dive into the details of these aquatic arachnids, and find out what’s all in store!
Can Dewpider and Araquanid Be Shiny in Pokemon GO?
The unfortunate reality of this situation is, that while they are both brand new in the game, this also means you’ll only be able to get your hands on a regular version of them. They will not be shiny right away, however, they may be added in as shiny in the future. More often than not, when Pokemon are first added to Pokemon GO, they are not shiny when they are first added, but will get their shiny version added in at a later date. Binacle is a great example of this, as they have been in the game for a while, but will receive a Shiny Version with this new event.
However, if you’re looking for some very competent and competitive Water/Bug-type Pokemon, you can’t go wrong with these two. Their stats are as followed:
Dewpider Stats
- Max CP: 807
- Max HP: 104
- Attack: 72
- Defense: 117
- Stamina: 116
- Best Fast Move – Bug Bite
- Best Charged Move – Bubble Beam
Araquanid Stats
- Max CP: 2065
- Max HP: 145
- Attack: 126
- Defense: 219
- Stamina: 169
- Best Fast Move – Bug Bite
- Best Charged Move – Bug Buzz
